Description
Furlow Charter School (FCS) seeks exceptional and innovative educators for a variety of positions for the (2022-2023) school year. Our mission is to foster success among our diverse community of students, through innovative approaches to public education that encourage critical thinking and multi-disciplinary learning, in an active, inclusive, and engaging educational environment. We are committed to fostering cultural awareness, inclusivity, social responsibility, and academic awareness through family and community involvement in the development of life-long learners. FCS employs project-based learning, offers World Language education K-12, fine arts education K-12, and embraces service learning. FCS is located in Americus, GA. Ideal candidates will show a deep understanding of project-based learning; will demonstrate a dedication to teaching methods and curriculum that foster diversity and inclusivity; will motivate and inspire students to be excited about teaching and learning; and will engage parents and the community as active partners in the learning experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate evidence of academic success, commitment to diversity and inclusivity, innovative problem-solving, and effective communication skills. We are looking to fill the following positions:
Elementary Teacher
Early Intervention Program (EIP) Teacher
Middle School ELA Teacher
Remedial Education Program (REP) Teacher
High School ELA Teacher (could be part-time)
High School Math Teacher (could be part-time)
High School Science Teacher (could be part-time)
Interventionist
