Brandyce comes to GCSA as a Professional Learning Specialist after serving as an IST for Fulton County Schools. She has served in that Special Education Leadership and administrative team roles for 5 years at various schools throughout the school district, including Lake Windward Elementary School, Hapeville Elementary School, and Tri-Cities High School providing support to special education teams. In this role, she was responsible for supporting all teachers within the special education department including speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, instructional teachers, physical therapists, and adaptive specialties. She worked closely with county-level professionals to ensure accurate state reporting for special education services, scheduling, and delivering professional development both at the county and school-wide level. Brandyce has supported a vast spectrum of specialized placement options such as Inter-Related Resource, Team Taught, Mild Intellectual Disability, Moderate to Severe Intellectual Disability, Community Based Instruction, and Special Needs Pre-K and Kindergarten. She brings with her a wealth of experience in both special education and general education settings in schools. She has served as a 504 and Student Support Team Chair at both Northwestern Middle School and Lake Windward Elementary School. Brandyce previously served as a reading specialist and has a background in behavior intervention. She has worked with at-risk populations at Devereux Treatment Center as well as The Bridge.
