Kelly Christopher is originally from Massachusetts and has over twenty years of classroom experience teaching High School/Middle School ELA, Middle School Social Studies, Reading, and Theater. She has taught in central Massachusetts, the Bronx, NYC, as well as in traditional and charter schools in Georgia. Ms. Christopher was a 2009 Georgia STAR Teacher, and in 2010 was a Fulbright Exchange recipient.
Ms. Christopher has a BA double-major in Theater and Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After college, she spent a year studying acting at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. She completed her Master’s Degree in Teaching English at Fitchburg State University, where she was the Associate Editor of the Reader’s Review of Young Adult Literature. While there, she assisted Dr. Marilyn McCaffery, guardian of the Robert Cormier Manuscript Collection, and had the honor of working with Robert Cormier (author of I Am the Cheese and The Chocolate War.)
