Atlanta, GA (January 10, 2012) — The Georgia Charter Schools Association (GCSA) has announced it will host two charter school job fairs for 2013 — Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Oglethorpe Charter School in Savannah, and Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Ivy Preparatory Academy Kirkwood, in Atlanta. Both job fairs run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. There is no fee for job seekers.
With demand and interest in jobs in the charter school sector at an all-time high, Savannah was chosen as a second job fair site to fill local faculty and staff rosters. Savannah welcomes two new public charter schools set to open in the fall.
Nearly 20 charter schools were represented at last year’s Atlanta job fair, and hundreds of job seekers attended. Rena Youngblood, GCSA’s Director of Membership, expressed excitement about the second location. “It’s a clear sign of the growth of chartering in Georgia that we are holding a fair in Savannah,” she said.
Job applicants are encouraged to pre-register by clicking on the links below. Resumes may be sent in advance, or brought in person.
