REGISTER NOW for GCSA’s Financial Management Certification Program!
GCSA’s Financial Management Certification Program is offered virtually this fall and is comprised of six courses. Each course is split into two, four-hour sessions in the same week. Our training kicked off this month. You can still sign up for four of the six remaining courses.
Make-up courses are offered in the spring. Attendees may register to attend one or all courses in a given semester.
This training is specifically designed to build the expertise and knowledge of charter school leaders and board members who oversee school financial operations. However, registration is open to all interested charter school employees. Our rigorous program is tailored to address the unique financial issues facing charter schools.
Each course will be offered twice – once in the fall, and again in the spring.
The courses start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. The following courses are offered during the fall semester:
- Policy Development, Implementation & Evaluation: Monday, Oct. 25 & Thursday, Oct. 28
- Payroll, Compensation & Procurement Policies & Practices: Wednesday, Nov. 10 & Friday, Nov. 12
- Internal Controls & Effective Financial Oversight: Wednesday, Dec. 8 & Friday, Dec. 10
- Audit Preparation Best Practices: Thursday, Jan. 14 & Friday, Jan. 15
COST
The cost per course is $300, or $1620 for all six courses, which includes a 10% discount if paid in full upfront. The course fee must be paid prior to the beginning of each course.
Scholarships are available to SCSC authorized schools.
