ATLANTA — The Georgia Charter Schools Association is pleased to announce Gregg Stevens as our Vice President of New School Development.
Mr. Stevens is an attorney with extensive experience assisting charter schools and charter support organizations through complex regulatory and legal problems to better enable schools and educators to focus on student success and academic achievement. Mr. Stevens comes to GCSA from private practice and previously served as Deputy Director and General Counsel for the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia and Deputy General Counsel for the Georgia Department of Education.
“We’re excited for the role that Gregg will play in making more charter school seats available for Georgia families,” said Tony Roberts, President and CEO of the Georgia Charter Schools Association. “His experience working with charter schools, charter school authorizers and the Georgia Department of Education, provides him with a unique and exceptional vision as he works to develop new schools and give Georgia students of all backgrounds greater access to high-quality educational opportunities.”
Gregg received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.
