Don’t miss GCSA’s Communications Community of Practice on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This month’s focus is “Engaging with Lawmakers.” In this virtual session, GCSA’s VP of Policy and Advocacy, Rahn Mayo, will share exciting plans for the upcoming legislative session and highlight ways for parents, students, advocates, and school leaders to get involved. Attendees will also gain key insights into how school board members and community leaders view charter schools.
GCSA’s Communications COP provides school communicators and school leaders with the tools to increase positive awareness and engagement, combat misinformation, and increase public support for Georgia charter schools. Attendees can access the meeting HERE.
The purpose of GCSA’s Communications Community of Practice is to advance the Georgia charter school movement by helping schools spread positive news throughout the state and providing professional development for charter school communicators and leaders.
