For business and community leaders, the quality of a public charter school relates directly to the educational success of the community. School success translates into efficient business management, high scoring marks, and positive community impact. When GCSA asked what our member schools wanted to aid in attaining that success, school leaders, and board members overwhelmingly agree that they want the best information possible in every office and classroom. ATLANTA, GA – This is the first time since austerity cuts began more than a decade ago that the Quality Basic Education (QBE) Formula is fully funded. This is wonderful news for all of Georgia’s public schools. Georgia Charter Schools Association is grateful for the leadership of Gov. Nathan Deal and House and Senate budget leaders who were able to reach this important agreement for Georgia students. For state-authorized charter schools, it will mean an additional $2.7 million in total funding. The amount for locally-approved charter schools will be determined by local school districts.
