Learn the skills required to start, lead and replicate high-quality charter schools. If you’re a new or aspiring charter school leader, or want to improve your leadership skills, GCSA’s CharterLeader Summer Bootcamp will give you the tools necessary for success. This year’s bootcamp will take place on Monday, June 13 through Thursday, June 16, 2016.
This intensive training will equip current and aspiring charter school leaders with the skills and core competencies to launch, lead, convert, replicate, and/or expand high-quality public charter schools. Some of the topics participants will learn about include: Title programs, school governance, culturally responsive teaching, funding and financial management, how to hire and retain staff, performance management, Response to Intervention (RTI) and school improvement planning. This is also the perfect opportunity for school administrators or teacher leaders to earn three Professional Learning Units (PLUs).
Our CharterLeader program is one of the most unique in the nation. It offers charter-specific training that helps build a leadership pipeline for Georgia charter schools.
“The sessions that comprised the program were varied and extremely relevant for charter leaders, and their presentation by such knowledgeable experts created a uniquely-valuable, charter-specific professional development opportunity,” says Stephanie Babcock-Wright, Executive Director of Coastal Empire Montessori Academy & Charter School.
Applications for this year’s bootcamp are due by Friday, May 13, 2016.
Pricing is as follows:
Bootcamp for 1 leader – $1,000
