Position: Early Intervention Teacher
Location: DuBois Integrity Academy
Reports To: Principal/MTSS Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-Time
DuBois Integrity Academy is seeking a dedicated and highly effective Early Intervention Teacher to provide targeted support to students who require additional academic assistance. The ideal candidate will deliver data-driven instruction, implement research-based interventions, and monitor student progress to ensure success. Regular communication with parents and stakeholders will be a key component of this role to keep all parties informed of student growth and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Intervention:
- Provide data-driven instruction to support students identified as needing early intervention services.
- Implement research-based interventions tailored to meet individual student needs.
- Utilize small-group and one-on-one instructional strategies to reinforce core academic skills.
Progress Monitoring and Data Analysis:
- Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student progress records, using data to inform instructional decisions.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to analyze student performance data and develop intervention plans.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, and support staff to align intervention strategies with the school’s curriculum.
- Participate in data meetings and professional development sessions to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Engage with school leadership to ensure interventions align with school-wide goals and best practices.
Family and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Conduct regular meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and intervention strategies.
- Provide families with resources and strategies to support student learning at home.
- Maintain open and effective lines of communication with all stakeholders regarding student growth and success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
- Valid GA teaching certification with an endorsement in Early Intervention or Reading/Math Intervention (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in an intervention or support role.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, instructional best practices, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using progress monitoring tools and assessment platforms.
- Training in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) or Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks.
- Background in literacy and numeracy intervention programs.
Working Conditions:
- School-based setting with a combination of classroom instruction and small-group/individualized intervention.
- Requires flexibility in scheduling and collaboration with multiple grade levels.
- Some evening meetings may be required to engage with families and stakeholders.
