Follow Your Passion
Are you ready to help build a school where Love Lives Here? At Prestige Preparatory School, we believe that an excellent education is the right of every child and that every child has greatness within. We are a tuition-free public charter school in Valdosta, Georgia, that combines rigorous academics, character formation, and career readiness to develop socially responsible leaders committed to excellence and service.
Our vision is a safe, loving, and affirming community committed to excellence, where students emerge as resilient, self-sufficient, and ethical leaders, prepared to thrive and serve in a changing world. We are not just building a school. We are building a movement.
Deliver Powerful Results
To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Founding School Director with at minimum a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field, a minimum of five years of K-12 experience, including at least two years in school leadership, and a record of building a positive, high-performing school culture with measurable results.
As the chief academic architect and school-based leader of Prestige, you will report to the Headmaster & Chief Executive Officer, supervise academic personnel and protocols, and create the conditions in which every student-leader is known well, loved, challenged, and prepared to thrive.
A valid Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate (L-5 or higher) is strongly preferred; candidates without one must meet our charter and governing board’s criteria for instructional leadership, consistent with O.C.G.A. § 20-2-2065 and Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) guidelines for charter school flexibility. Charter, startup, and/or turnaround school experience is also strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
In close partnership with the Headmaster & Chief Executive Officer and your leadership team, you will:
- Build a culture where Love Lives Here, rooted in the Saints Honor Code and the Prestige Standard, where every student, family, and colleague feels seen, heard, and valued.
- Lead PBIS and a fair, restorative student conduct system that pairs accountability with relationship repair, addresses disparities in discipline data, and meets IDEA, Section 504, and Georgia Department of Education requirements.
- Embed social-emotional learning in daily school life so that every Saint grows toward the Portrait of a Prestige Graduate.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate the academic teachers and staff so that mastery-based instruction aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence with an emphasis on financial and digital literacy meets our charter goals and the SCSC Comprehensive Performance Framework.
- Build a staff culture of trust, wellness, and candid feedback, partnering with the Headmaster & CEO and vendors on hiring, retention, and performance management consistent with Georgia’s TKES and LKES evaluation systems.
- Deliver WOW with families as essential partners through authentic connection, open communication, and urgent response, and represent Prestige across the Valdosta community.
- Drive compliance, data, and accountability for Georgia charter school requirements, SCSC standards, and federal law, including IDEA, FERPA, Title I, and Title IX, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Headmaster & CEO or Governing Board.
- It is understood that the list of job responsibilities is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform these responsibilities and all additional responsibilities as assigned by the Headmaster & Chief Executive Officer.
