- North Georgia
- Southwest Georgia
- Southeast Georgia
Contract Role: August 2024 – June 2025
Overview:
As a pivotal member of our GCSA New School Development Team, the Regional Field Director, New School Development plays a vital role in fostering community engagement, recruiting qualified leaders, building relationships with stakeholders, and advocating for educational reform. The Field Director will spearhead the recruitment of talented and diverse leaders, establish strategic partnerships, enhance public support for charter schools, and represent our organization at key events and forums. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with exceptional communication skills, a fervent dedication to educational advocacy, and a proven ability to drive positive change in the community. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive community engagement plans to build awareness and support for charter schools in Georgia.
- Lead and execute community engagement strategies for charter school development across the state of Georgia.
- Identify and recruit talented leaders who are passionate about educational reform and charter school development.
- Build a pipeline of talented individuals through targeted outreach, networking events, and partnerships with educational institutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, educators, government officials, and community organizations.
- Serve as the organization’s spokesperson at various community events, conferences, and meetings.
- Advocate for charter school interests and represent the organization in public forums to raise awareness and build support for charter school development.
- Lead and facilitate charter school development-related presentations, forums, workshops, and meetings to educate stakeholders, address concerns, and garner support. Prepare materials, coordinate logistics, and engage participants to ensure productive and meaningful discussions.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and community members to coordinate efforts and maximize impact.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives that advance the organization’s mission and goals.
- Collect and analyze data on community engagement activities, leader recruitment efforts, and program outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to track progress, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and policy updates related to charter schools and education reform.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in community engagement, education advocacy, or related field.
- Knowledge of charter school policies, regulations, and trends in the state of Georgia, preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and networks.
- Proven track record of recruiting and developing leadership talent within diverse communities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
