Online registration for the 2012 GCSA Charter Schools Conference will close on September 19th. After that date, registration will be on-site only, at the highest rate. That leaves schools, supporters, parents and teachers less than two weeks to save on registration at the most important Conference in our 10 year history.
When we convene in Atlanta on October 4-5th, the November election and the Charter School Amendment vote will be just 31 days away. The future growth of the charter school movement in Georgia literally hinges on the outcome which will be in the hands of the voters. The Conference is our last opportunity to rally together, educate ourselves on the issues, learn how to amplify our messaging and help get out the vote.
Who’s Coming?
Our Conference keynote speaker is Ember Reichgott Junge. As a senator in MN, she authored the very first charter school law in the country and will help us celebrate the 20th anniversary of charter school options in America.
What’s Happening?
We’ll have several critical sessions on charter school advocacy and how to support that Constitutional Amendment. We’ll also celebrate our school leaders, teachers and parents at the Thursday Awards Luncheon. And of course there will be a wide array of information-packed sessions on classroom best practices, curriculum, Common Core, governance, special education, technology, finance, and more. Visit www.gacharterconference for full details on presentations.
It’s Our 10th Anniversary!
Don’t miss this historic 10 Year Celebration of Charter Schools in Georgia. It’s THE PLACE to be if you care about kids and the future of public charter schools in our state.
