Beginning in July 2015, Elisa Falco, GCSA’s Vice President for School Services, will be offering hour-long, live, interactive webinars, twice each month, to help your board members fulfill their annual governance training requirements.
Georgia law requires that charter school board members complete 15 hours of governance training annually, and that returning board members complete 9 hours. The webinars, which cost $50 per-person, per-session, make it easy for board members to schedule the trainings they require. Certificates of completion will be issued to document timely board compliance.
Live webinars will be held from noon to 1:00 pm on the 2nd and 3rd Thursday of each month. Topics cover the full range of SBOE governance standards including; Succession Planning, Induction & Orientation of New Board Members, Leadership Oversight, Charter Boards as Employers, Vendor Management, Authorizer Relations, Ethics and much more. For those who are unable to take the live webinar, a recorded version is also available. See the full webinar training schedule here, and contact Elisa Falco, efalco@gacharters.org, 404-835- 2973 for details.
