More than 500 hopeful charter school job seekers flooded GCSA’s Saturday March 9th Job Fair held at Ivy Preparatory Academy’s Kirkwood campus. With resumes in hand, candidates had access to twenty-three charter schools interviewing and screening for charter school positions ranging from classroom teaching to speech and language professionals.
One of them was recent Emory graduate and job seeker Brian Levenson, who said, “I greatly appreciated you taking the time to talk to me about the Pre-GaTAPP and GaTAPP programs and your encouraging words. More so, because you stayed well after the end of the event to make sure everyone got the information they were looking for. I very much respect your dedication to getting quality teachers into the system.”
Katherine Kelbaugh, who heads The Museum School of Avondale Estates, also thought the day was terrific. “I am so pleased with the outcome of the recent GCSA Job Fair. Candidates came well-prepared with resumes and supporting documentation and represented a variety of subject areas and grade levels. GCSA did an excellent job of recruiting candidates and creating an environment where we could talk directly to candidates about our school’s mission and vision and staffing needs. I expect to interview numerous highly qualified candidates as a result of the fair.”
