On Friday, September 15, Ivy Prep Academy in Gwinnett celebrated its first ever “College Day.” As part of the special day, students took a field trip to Spelman College in Atlanta. Teachers and staff members wore college gear from their alma matters or colleges and universities they admire. They also took the opportunity to tell students about their personal college experiences.
Ivy Prep Academy at Gwinnett plans to hold “College Day” every third Friday of the month. The goal of the new program is to create college-bound culture among Ivy Prep students. School leaders hope to inspire and support Ivy scholars in their pursuit of post-secondary education.
