Join GCSA for “The State of Georgia Charter Schools” on Friday, August 31st in Albany and Friday, September 7th in Savannah.
This meeting is for school leaders and board members of all Georgia public charter schools. As we kick off a new school year together, this will be a perfect time to network with other school leaders, GCSA team members, and representatives from the Georgia Department of Education (Charter Division) and the State Charter Schools Commission.
- Click HERE to sign up for the Albany event on Friday, August 31st from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 101 S. Front Street in Albany.
- Click HERE to Register for the Savannah event on Friday, September 7th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main auditorium of Oglethorpe Charter School, 7202 Central Avenue in Savannah.
During “The State of Georgia Charter Schools” we will explore the following questions:
What’s new in charter law and policy?
What are the major challenges and opportunities facing our schools and our movement this year?
What’s ahead in our shared legislative and policy agenda?
What new opportunities and services are available to strengthen your school’s success?
This will be an interactive session where everyone will be heard. We will utilize “Poll Everywhere,” which allows each person in attendance to register their opinions, requests, and interests. As everyone inputs their answers, the results are shown graphically in real time on the projection screen. We aim to use this interactive tool to get your opinions, set some priorities, and generally hear from you.
There is no charge for this event. Lunch will generously be provided by Charter School Capital and Zaner-Bloser, GCSA Associate Members.
