Georgia Charter Schools Association is excited to announce GCSA’s 2018 Georgia Charter School of the Year, Leader of the Year and Teacher of the Year. These prestigious awards were established to honor excellence in education throughout the charter sector.
This year’s award winners are as follows:
GCSA 2018 Charter School of the Year: DeKalb PATH Academy
GCSA 2018 Leader of the Year: Museum School of Avondale Estates Principal Katherine Kelbaugh
GCSA’s 2018 Leader of the Year: KIPP STRIVE Primary teacher Breana Wofford

GCSA thanks the Coca-Cola Company for its grant to the Association to make a $50,000 award to the GCSA Charter School of the Year possible!
The 2018 GCSA Charter School of the Year was selected by a committee made up of individuals not affiliated with the Georgia Charter Schools Association. The committee was comprised of a representative from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, a previous Charter School of the Year winner, The Coca-Cola Company and Atlantic Capital Bank.
