In 2023, fourteen public charter schools were among the Georgia high schools with the highest percentage of four-year graduates. These schools surpassed the state high-school graduation rate, 84.4%, and the averages of the districts within their attendance zones. This year, Georgia’s high-school seniors recorded another historic graduation rate in 2023. The four-year graduation rate rose to 84.4%. That’s up from 84.1% in 2022, and an all-time high since the state began using the adjusted cohort calculation first required to be calculated in 2011 by federal law.
The Georgia Charter Schools Association congratulates Atlanta Classical Academy (100%), Statesboro STEAM College, Careers, Art & Technology Academy (100%), Academy for Classical Education (99.1%), Charles R. Drew Charter School (98.4%), Walton High School (96.8%), Georgia School for Innovation and the Classics (95.2%), Baconton Community Charter School (95%), Fulton Leadership Academy (95.2%), Tapestry Public Charter School (93.8%), Pataula Charter Academy (93.5%), Savannah Classical Academy (93.3%), Hapeville Charter Career Academy (93.1%), KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Charter School (93%), and Lake Oconee Academy (92.7%).
In addition to these fourteen charter schools, Bishop Hall Charter School (91.8%) and Furlow Charter School (85.3%) surpassed the state graduation rate.
