Announcing Kym Ward Gaffney as the 2026 Conference Keynote Speaker

The Georgia Charter Schools Association is excited to welcome Kym Ward Gaffney as the keynote speaker for the 2026 Georgia Charter Schools Conference. Kym is an experienced facilitator with The Energy Project. She has created and led numerous learning events across industries and global territories. As an executive coach and global strategist, she is energized by developing leaders and has an incredible range and passion for people development and management. Kym, known as “KWG”, enjoys and embraces challenges! Her personal mantra is: “conflict is an invitation to transformation.”

KWG served for 21 years in various leadership roles at PwC and led the US coaching strategy for 8 years. She helped to lay the foundation for PwC’s Leadership Coaching Center of Excellence and was charged with the development of its internal coaching team of 28 executive coaches.

In 2001, KWG founded Coach’s Daughter Consulting. Her clients include C-Suite, senior executive, and high-potential leaders from organizations including Google, Loreal – La Roche Posay, Hubspot, Tabasco McIlhenney Company, Colgate, Sonos, Morningstar, Schusterman Foundation, Aspen Institute, The Leadership Consortium. Her unique approach uses long-established coaching methodologies, ultimately leading to improved organizational impact and the development of high performing teams.

KWG is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. Kym is an International Coaching Federation Accredited Professional Certified Coach and holds a Diploma in Coaching Supervision from Coaching Supervision Academy in London. Additionally, she is certified to administer a number of leadership assessments.

Kym enjoys architectural design, reading, and conversation over a great cup of coffee; her home is always filled with laughter, flowers and ice cream. She has traveled and worked across 6 continents and has a black belt in Tae kwon do. Kym serves on the Board of MESA (Math Engineering Science Academy) High School. Recently, Kym was selected to participate in the Women’s Leadership Forum at the Harvard Business School. KWG holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Howard University. While completing her studies at ESADE in Barcelona, Spain, Kym earned her MBA – dual major in International Business and Marketing- from NYU Stern Graduate School of Business. She and her husband, Brian, are quite busy with their two sons, reside in Brooklyn, New York.
