Georgia Charter Schools Association salutes Alana Brown, an elementary school teacher at Coastal Empire Montessori Charter School in Savannah. Coastal Empire Montessori Charter School is public charter school authorized by the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Public Education.
“Alana, a longtime CEMCS employee, has grown from a Teaching Assistant into a new teacher into a seasoned educator who produces results. Alana has a gift in helping her students, who are with her for multiple years because of our mixed-age classrooms, grow right along with her,” says Stephanie Babcock-Wright, Director of Coastal Empire Montessori Charter School. “She is fully-committed to the school’s mission of educating the whole child for the world, and her students not only become strong academic performers but also children who embody respect for self, others and the environment.”
