Applications are now being accepted for the Georgia Strategic Charter School Growth Initiative’s Replication and Expansion Cohort Program. Existing high-quality Georgia charter schools are invited to apply to participate in this program, which will include Incubator and facility and finance technical assistance from the Georgia Charter Schools Association (GCSA) and long-range planning services from Bellwether Education Partners. In addition, participating schools will be eligible for up to $300,000 in grant funds to assist with replication and expansion efforts. Eligible schools must be in good standing with their authorizer, interested in replicating or expanding outside the City of Atlanta, and willing to be collaborative, engaged participants. The program is funded through the Charter Growth Initiative, and schools will only be responsible for costs associated with travel to convenings (one out of state).
Applications are due on Friday, July 15, at 5:00 p.m. EST. For more information, see FindaGaCharter.org or email info@FindaGaCharter.org. The Charter Growth Initiative is a collaboration between the State Charter Schools Foundation of Georgia, State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia, and the Georgia Charter Schools Association. The initiative is funded with a GEER II grant awarded by the Office of the Governor.
