Betsy Lucas is a first grade teacher at Spring Creek Charter Academy. Ms. Lucas is dedicated to helping students reach their academic potential. However, she works to make a difference in the classroom by showing students that she cares about them as individuals first.
The parent who nominated Ms. Lucas says, “She cares about all of her students as her own, and she will do everything in her power to make sure everyone is loved by her.”
Throughout COVID-19, Ms. Lucas continued to make learning engaging by adapting her lessons to ensure they were safe for students and met COVID restrictions. As a result, her students have been able to conduct hands-on learning projects and field work.
