Breone Sanders is a founding English Language Arts and Special Education Teacher at Atlanta Unbound Academy. She was nominated by Alaina Chipman Leeks, AUA’s Founder and Executive Director, who describes Ms. Sanders as an invaluable educator who surpasses expectations and has high academic expectations for students.
“Ms. Sanders joined the school as a founding Special Education Middle School Teacher and juggled multiple roles in year one. She, like most of our educators, goes above and beyond the call of duty for her students,” says Alaina Chipman Leeks. “It is a challenge for school leaders to find Special Education Teachers right now, and the school is thankful to have her. She holds us all accountable, ensures the needs of her students are met, but also shows one of our core values, of Courage, to speak up against issues of equity that impact students. Ms. Sanders holds the bar of excellence high for all those around her, especially her students.”
