Georgia Charter Schools Association salutes Chandra Graves, a reading teacher for all the third grade classes at The Main Street Academy. Graves has been teaching for 15 years and this is in her fourth year at TMSA.
“Ms. Graves is a compassionate and dedicated educator to her students and the staff of her school. She ensures that her students are receiving the best education possible and meets them where they are when they enter her classroom,” says a Main Street Academy parent. “She has a collaborative classroom that allows her students to work independently and collaboratively. She not only supports her students in the classroom but also makes sure she is available to support them outside the class as well.
She enjoys being a part of her staff and is currently serving as the PTO President. This allows her to hear her colleagues voices and show appreciation towards them for all their hard work. She was also voted Teacher of the Year for this current school year. Ms. Graves’ true calling is teaching; she enters the classroom daily with challenges and joy in seeing her students grow daily. Ms. Graves dedicates a lot of her time for her students and school and deserves to be appreciated not only this week but every day for all her hard work.”
