Christina Merritt is a high school science teacher at Pataula Charter Academy. Merritt began her teaching career at Pataula and has taught at the public charter school in Edison for several years.
She was nominated by a student who says Mrs. Merritt is “making a difference” in the classroom and has done everything in her power to make her students’ high school experience “amazing.”
Mrs. Merritt was extremely helpful when the school had to pivot to distance learning due to COVID-19. The student who nominated Mrs. Merritt says the Google Meets she held with students helped them socially and emotionally during a challenging time.
