Georgia Charter Schools Association salutes Eileen Epperson, an educator at International Charter School of Atlanta. International Charter School of Atlanta is a public charter school authorized by the State Charter Schools Commission.
“Ms. Epperson (Ms. E.) has been a teacher at ICSAtlanta since we opened our doors in 2015. Since that time, she has taught elementary students and middle school ELA. She currently teaches 4th grade and works as a team teacher with language teachers as a part of a dual language immersion program. Ms. E. inspires her students to achieve their very best, and she encourages them to use their creativity to explore literature and be curious about their world,” says Michele Neely, Development and Communications Manager for ICSAtlanta. “She is a caring, compassionate teacher, and she can often be seen hugging and uplifting children when the world’s struggles become too much. Her students succeed because they know that Ms. E. believes in them and reminds them every day that they are special.”
Ms. Epperson led ICSAtlanta’s first-ever book team to 2nd place at the Fulton County Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl this school year, bringing home one of ICSAtlanta’s first trophies. In addition to being a tremendous teacher beloved by students, parents, and faculty, she is also an accomplished dancer.
