The Georgia Charter Schools Association congratulates Excelsior Village Academies (EVA) on its recent groundbreaking ceremony. The event was held on Saturday, May 11, at EVA’s future 37-acre campus in Stockbridge and marks a major milestone. The state-authorized charter school participated in GCSA’s Incubator program and is scheduled to open to students in grades K-3 this fall. Excelsior Village Academies will serve students in Fulton, Clayton, Henry, and Dekalb counties, with plans to expand through the eighth grade.
“We believe in providing a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally,” said Nisah Brinson, Chair of Excelsior Village Academies. “Excelsior Village Academies is not just a school; it’s a community where every child is valued and supported in reaching their full potential.”
In addition to a groundbreaking ceremony, the school held a Family Fun Day celebration featuring face painting, food, and a bounce house. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about Excelsior Village Academies and its vision for the future.
“This event not only marked the beginning of a new chapter for our school but also provided an opportunity for families to come together and enjoy a day of fun-filled activities,” said Michelle Flowers, School Leader (CEO) of Excelsior Village Academies.
