Georgia Charter Schools Association congratulates Baconton Community Charter School, Chamblee Charter High School and KIPP Atlanta Collegiate for winning a 2019 College Success Award from GreatSchools. The Georgia public charter schools were among 153 charter schools selected for the honor across 25 states.
The awards are intended to highlight public schools that prepare students for college and have given them the skills to succeed once they arrive on campus. The school-level awards are based on college readiness and postsecondary data collected and shared with GreatSchools by states. GreatSchools examines data to determine the percentage of students who are enrolling in college and persist into their second year.
In Georgia, 80 public schools received a 2019 College Success Award. Nationally, more than 1,722 schools were recognized by GreatSchools.
