The Georgia Charter Schools Association has relaunched our Board Bank initiative to support every charter school in Georgia with identifying committed and competent individuals who can serve on charter school boards. GCSA is offering free virtual training on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 6-9 p.m. to give potential board members the foundational knowledge needed to prepare for service.
We are looking for individuals with diverse skill sets and expertise in a wide range of areas, including education, law, finance, general business, fundraising, facilities management, marketing and policy.
We will offer a 3-hour free Charter School Overview and Effective Governance training to give potential board members the foundational knowledge needed to prepare for service.
After completing the governance training, attendees will be added to our list of prospective board members which is made available to our member schools. Member schools can reference this list to identify candidates who align to their needs and considerations in filling vacancies on their governing boards.
If you know any individuals, companies or organizations with a strong commitment to community service and children. Please share the opportunity and the Board Bank General Interest Form (2022) with them!
If you have any questions, please contact Bonnie Holliday at bholliday@gacharters.org.
