Georgia Charter Schools Association congratulates the following charter schools for “Beating the Odds” in 2017. “Beating the Odds” illustrates how a school’s performance compares to schools with similar demographics across the state. It takes characteristics into account such as students with disabilities, percentage of students by race and ethnicity, English Language Learners, student mobility rate, grade cluster and percentage of students who are economically disadvantaged.
According to the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, Beating the Odds is a statistical analysis that provides contextual understanding of a school’s College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) based on student characteristics outside the school’s control.
