Martell Shavers currently serves as the Special Education Academic Programs Assistant Director at Georgia Cyber Academy. His contributions to the field of special education are well noted as a respected education leader in Georgia. As one of a few African American males in leadership and in the special education field, his expertise, and advocation for special education services and supports, make him a valuable teammate and voice within the special education community.
Martell received a master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from Columbus State University and a master’s in Special Education and Teaching from Valdosta State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Morehouse College and an Ed.S. in Special Education and Teaching from the University of West Georgia.
