Atlanta Board of Education (ABOE) districts 1, 3, 5 and at-large seats 7 and 9 are on the November ballot. These elections are crucial because more than 25 percent of Georgia charter schools serve students enrolled in Atlanta Public Schools. Please spread the word about the importance of voting in these key races.
In 2024, the ABOE will select a new superintendent, manage $1.66 billion in education funding, and make critical decisions for Atlanta schools and families. To assist voters, redefinED Atlanta has prepared a 2023 Atlanta Board of Education Candidate Guide.
Atlanta Board of Education General Election
Election Day – Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Early Voting – Monday, Oct. 16 – Friday, Nov. 3
Runoff Elections (If Necessary) – Tuesday, Dec. 5
