Shaloo Sawhney teaches computer coding to elementary students attending Fulton Academy of Science and Technology (FAST). The colleague who nominated Ms. Sawhney describes her as a dedicated and hardworking teacher.
“Even though this was Ms. Sawhney’s first year as an Elementary Coding Teacher, she learned all the technologies required in this past year to teach online and onsite students both, said Priyanka Joshi, a fellow educator at FAST Charter School. “She is very flexible and reachable. As a mentee to me, she has always been very respectful too.
Ms. Sawhney, accommodated her lesson plans for face-to-face and virtual students. She was always available for her virtual students and used to get the work done in class for face-to-face students. Ms. Sawhney is very good and prompt in bringing in new technology into her class which helps virtual learning easy and fun!”
