Wendy Courtney is a middle school science teacher at Baconton Community Charter School. The colleague who nominated her says Ms. Courtney finds ways to make science fun and interesting for her students.
“She goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure both virtual and in-person students receive in depth and exciting science curriculum,” says Ms. Courtney’s colleague. “Kids feel “good” when they leave Ms. Courtney’s Classroom.”
She uses hands-on, project-based learning to promote a more enhanced STEM experience for her students.”
Ms. Courtney was hired at Baconton Community Charter School due to her immense knowledge of STEM education. She recently won a classroom grant from the Association of American Educators Foundation.
