ATLANTA (Jan. 16, 2019) – Join the Georgia Charter Schools Association and GeorgiaCan for the 2019 Metro Atlanta Charter School Expo on Saturday, Jan. 26. This important event offers families the opportunity to learn more about their local public charter school options as they consider enrollment for the next academic year.
Hundreds of families are expected to attend the expo, which will take place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ivy Preparatory Academy, 1807 Memorial Dr. SE, Atlanta, GA. Families can gather information about and visit with representatives from more than 25 schools. This is the first event of its kind in the metro Atlanta area.
The 2019 Metro Atlanta Charter School Expo is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
“The Georgia Charter Schools Association (GCSA) is excited to welcome families to our Metro Atlanta Charter School Expo to learn more about the educational options in their community,” said RaShaun Holliman, vice president of policy and advocacy at the GCSA. “This is a great opportunity to connect families directly to schools and empower them with the tools to choose the best public charter school for their children.”
This event is organized by the Georgia Charter Schools Association, a nonprofit organization that believes all students deserve an excellent education regardless of their
zip code or economic circumstances. GCSA is a nonpartisan advocate, partner and service provider for Georgia’s public charter schools. Georgia Charter Schools Association’s work increases the number of excellent public-school options for all Georgia students.
