Atlanta, GA, July 10, 2013 — With interest in Georgia’s public charter school sector at an all-time high, the Georgia Charter Schools Association (GCSA) is offering Charter Development 101 — a class designed to help communities and individuals understand the scope and the rigors of the charter petitioning process.
Charter Development 101 will be offered in Atlanta on Tuesday, July 16th 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm at 600 W. Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30309, 12th floor training room.
Charter Development 101 will cover:
· The charter landscape in Georgia
· Developing your founding board
· The intent of the Charter Law in Georgia
· Educational innovation
· Developing a mission statement
· Community engagement and support
· GaDOE Guidelines
· Next Steps — establishing a timeline
· Q & A
