There’s never been a better time to find a job in Georgia’s growing public charter school sector. New charter schools slated to open in August 2014 are seeking principals, teachers, administrative and support staff. Existing charter schools are also looking for staff, and several are expanding, adding a grade per year. To match qualified professionals with employment opportunities, the Georgia Charter Schools Association (GCSA) will host two charter school job fairs for 2014:
- Saturday, March 22, 2014 | 9:00 am – 1:00 pm | International Academy of Smyrna, 2144 South Cobb Drive SE, Smyrna, GA 30082
ATLANTA REGISTRATION: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C6KCDYJ
- Saturday, March 29, 2014 | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm | Coastal Empire Montessori Charter School, 301 Buckhalter Road, Savannah, GA 31405
SAVANNAH REGISTRATION: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C6Y9TLY
More and more teachers are bypassing the traditional public school system and choosing to work in charter public schools. Teachers value the flexibility and curricular innovations they find in charter schools, along with their mission to boost student achievement. Charter school teachers also enjoy the ability to have a voice in day-to-day operations of their school.
For candidates unfamiliar with the charter sector, both job fairs will include a free “Charter School 101” class covering the operation, philosophy and unique culture of public charter schools.
There is no fee for job seekers, but pre-registration is required. Candidates can register and submit their resumes in advance using the links below;
