PreGaTAPP is GCSA’s aspiring teacher preparation program that trains those seeking to teach in P-12 classrooms and supports aspiring teachers as they transition from post-secondary education and/or careers. PreGaTAPP prepares aspiring teachers to seek employment within a charter school, and if successful, transition into the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (GaTAPP) program — a performance-based program for employed charter teachers. GaTAPP is GCSA’s performance-based, job-embedded teacher preparation program for teacher candidates to earn a clear, renewable teaching certificate. It supports Georgia charter school teachers as they transition from careers in fields including education into teaching. GaTAPP integrates clinical practice, diverse field-based experiences, performance outcomes, and professional learning to develop effective teachers.
