Celebrate GA Charter Schools
and National Charter Schools Week
To kick off National Charter Schools Week, (May 6-12) GCSA andG-PAN are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Charter Schools Rock. This is a free, community celebration of Georgia’s public Charter Schools, on Sunday,May 5, in the Central Park area of Atlantic Station, from 2-5 pm.
Charter Schools Rock showcases the strength of the charter school movement in Georgia and the tremendous achievements of our students. The high spirited program will feature student performances from some of metro Atlanta’s best charter schools, some special guests, and information about public charter school options.
The event will also be an important opportunity to educate the general public Constitutional Amendment supporting charter schools that will be on the 2012 ballot in November.
Charter Schools Rock will feature:
- Exuberant performances by student groups from Georgia’s high-achieving public charter schools
- Special Guests
- Information about Georgia’s high performing public charter schools
- Information about the GA Constitutional Amendment
- Meet leaders from the Georgia Charter School Movement and educate your parents on the importance of passing the Charter School Amendment in November
- Special appearance by “The King of Pops” – Atlanta’s fresh fruit popsical vendor
Contract for Charter Schools Rock 2012
Last year we offered 8 free tables for GCSA Member Schools at Charter Schools Rock. This year we are providing up to 20 free tables to Member School tables to meet the increased demand! 2012 Charter Schools Rock Fees:
- GCSA Member Schools & Student Performers – FREE TABLE
- Non-Member Schools $200
- Education Related Non-Profit Organizations $200

This year, all schools who will have students performing at the event must have a table, and must staff the table from 2-5 pm.

- We will assign each school a performing timeslot of up to 15 minutes length
- All member schools and exhibitors will get 1 skirted, tented table and 2 chairs (there is no electricity)
