In anticipation of the 2018 Elections, the Georgia Charter School Association (GCSA) invited the 2018 candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and state school superintendent to complete a candidate questionnaire and share their position on matters that directly impact Georgia public charter schools and the students and families they serve. The questions posed to the candidates were developed to address some of the most critical issues in public education that the next administration will face.
GCSA sent a questionnaire to each of the 2018 candidates for Georgia governor, lieutenant governor and state school superintendent. The questionnaires consisted of six to eight open-ended questions. Of the 21 candidates running for office, 14 completed the full questionnaire, three did not respond and two chose not to participate. Since distributing the questionnaire, two of the candidates for governor have withdrawn from the race.
