Georgia Charter Schools Association wants to congratulate the charter schools selected as Reward Schools by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE). The Georgia Department of Education announced that Amana Academy, The Kindezi Schools and KIPP STRIVE Academy were among the Georgia schools to receive the Highest-Performing Reward School designation for the 2017 fiscal year.
According to state education officials, schools chosen for the Reward School designation are “among the five percent of the state’s Title I schools with the absolute highest performance, over three years, for the ‘all students’ group on the statewide assessments.” Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act provides federal funding to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools that have high numbers or percentages of children from low-income families.
