Looking for a structured way to lead stronger data conversations with your team? The ATLAS Looking at Data Protocol helps leaders move from what we see in the data to what we’re going to do about it—with clarity, shared ownership, and concrete next steps. Download the protocol to support more focused, productive data discussions this month.
How to Use This in a 30-Minute Meeting
Try this simple 30-minute structure with your leadership or grade-level team:
5 min – Facts: What do we see in the data (no interpretations yet)?
10 min – Interpretations & Wonderings: What might the data be telling us? What questions does it raise?
10 min – Implications: What does this mean for students, instruction, or systems?
5 min – Next Steps: Identify 1–3 high-leverage actions the team will own and monitor.
Tip: Assign a facilitator and a timekeeper to keep the conversation tight and focused.
