The following charter schools below were named the 2018 AP Honor Schools by the Georgia Department of Education. The department began recognizing AP Honor schools in 2008. The state is currently ranked 15th in the U.S. for the percentage of students who receive scores of 3, 4 or 5 on at least one AP exam during high school.
2018 AP Challenge Schools (schools with 900 or fewer students that test in the core areas of English, math, science, and social studies).

2018 AP Access and Support Schools (schools where at least 30 percent of the AP exams are taken by African-American and/or Hispanic students who earn scores of 3 or higher.)

AP Merit Schools (schools where at least 20 percent of the students taking AP exams and half of those taking the exams earn scores of 3 or higher.)
