GCSA extends a heartfelt thanks to the Ethos Classical Charter School team for inviting us to their Middle School Cypher Battle, a beloved tradition that has been part of the school’s culture since its founding year. On Thursday, Oct. 9, Christa Thomas, GCSA’s Vice President of New School Development, had the honor of serving as a guest judge.
The afternoon was filled with energy, creativity and community pride as middle school scholars showcased their voices, confidence and teamwork through this powerful expression of school culture. Many of the current 6th graders first participated in a cypher battle as kindergartners, making this year’s event especially meaningful. What unfolded was more than a competition—it was a celebration of joy, belonging, and tradition, reminding everyone present that when students are rooted in purpose and community, their potential truly shines.
