Charter schools are becoming increasingly popular in school districts with already overcrowded public schools. Charter schools are publicly funded open to all students, and free of tuition as they are public schools. Charter schools frequently face lack of facility options and modular construction helps to alleviate these challenges.
Parents choose Charter Schools for their children because these schools have the freedom to operate away from some regulations that are mandated upon district schools. Charter Schools are held accountable for higher academic achievement, and the organization’s stability and financial management. Parents have the choice to remove their child and the schools can be closed if these performance goals are not met.
If you could put a layer of bubble wrap around your children to protect them from predators, would you? Revved Up Kids has trained thousands of children in the metro-Atlanta area since 2010 to recognize unsafe people, avoid dangerous situations, and escape predators; we are the bubble wrap for Atlanta’s children.
It is our belief that the easiest target for a predator is the child who doesn’t know they exist; our training teaches kids who predators are, how they operate, and how to respond if they meet a predator. Our training provides parents with a comfortable way to open the difficult dialogue about sexual abuse with their children, and helps children understand the issue in a non-frightening way.
ning of our Atlanta office! We’re especially excited to be co-locating with our partner, the Georgia Charter Schools Association (GCSA), which allows us to collaborate with a dedicated, passionate team and stay abreast of new developments in Georgia’s education landscape.
There is a lot of momentum surrounding the charter school movement in Georgia. With so much growth in the region, there is an increasing need for high-quality schools. Enrollment in charter schools in Georgia has more than tripled over the last decade, exceeding 84,000 students in the 2016-17 school year (Georgia Department of Education). EdTec is eager to contribute to this growth by sharing our knowledge and expertise and expanding our impact in the state.
